Geufron Farmhouse: 30/6/07 - 07/07/07
I am originally from Tywyn so know the area extremely well. We have lived in the USA now for 18 years and our four children were all born there. What a great week it was to have our children here in this little cottage for a week. The only disappointment was the weather, which was dismal. Take every opportunity to enjoy the local scenery - you can't get this anywhere else!! Take a walk across Barmouth Bridge (from Arthog station) it's well worth it.

Cart're Wyn, Lovely Cottage, (this is one of the best ones in the whole of Wales). Very peaceful here, fantastic views. A warm welcome from the manager, which helped us settle straight in. Everything is in easy reach here, the Tal y Llyn Railway, Aberdovey (beautiful beach, crab fishing off the pier and lots of boats to watch. The chip shop here is very clean the the food is good. A week isn't long enough to explore this place. We've been to a lot of places this week but can't spell the names of them so I won't risk offending the locals, just go to as many places as you can. Sunshine (hot) all week. Perfect. 9th June 07

Y Ffynnon - 7th July 2007
Although the weather was not kind to us this week we still found plenty to do. We enjoyed a walk behind the cottages, a walk at Dolgoch Falls and we walked up to the Bearded Lake (on better days).
We also enjoyed visits to Aberdovey and Barmouth (the lamb and leek curry at The Last Inn was lovely). Honey Ice Cream well worth it!
The cottages are lovely, have great views and we hope to return. Thanks.

Y Ffynnon 23/24th June 2007 We had fantastic time! Absolutely gorgeous cottage and view. We were all amazed by the scenery as we live in the city and don't see much greenery. Beautiful village and place. We come in bad weather but the next day we tried the pool and felt so relaxed it was amazing! We were felt welcome straight in the beginning and we loved the falls. We will definitely come back again. We would give this a five stars * * * * *
Thanks for a memorable moment.

Bwthyn Bach - A very warm welcome on arrival, especially the Welsh cakes, which were perfect with a cup of tea after a long drive.
The cottage is very cosy, with amazing views. We visited Snowdon which is an easy 1 hour -1.30 hrs drive. The PYG track from Pen Y Pass is not for the feint hearted, but does reward you with the best views.
In all we had a lovely relaxing stay and thank you again for making us so welcome.

Carter Wyn - Hello again! This is our third time back to the cottage, so that pretty much tells you we absolutely love it here! Again there are still so many things to do, King Arthur's Labrinth is really good, then a little bit further down the road is the animaquarium which is fab, me and my daughter got to hold some snakes (one being about 15 feet long). Thank you so much for having us back, and see you again soon.

Y Ffynnon - We had a great time at Geufron. Hiring bikes at Dolgellau was also a great success, riding the Mawddach Trail to Barmouth - flat and great for kids. Try the badger watching at dusk on the hills just behind the cottages - sit very still and you are very likely to spot one or two.

Geufron Cottage - A lovely spot overlooking hills, sea and a railway! Could have done a lot, but spent time sitting in the sun and checking up on the sheep - not to mention the trains!! We look forward to a return visit and hope to enjoy the inviting pool. Many thanks for the hospitality. A great place to chill

Bwthyn Bach - Thank you very much for your hospitality. Your cottage is a beauty... intimate, but big enough for us. This landscape is magnificent: country walks, sheep, the sea, sheep, valleys, sheep...
We've been very lucky with the weather too: three days of pure sun! We are Italian & French .. and we come to Wales for a tan! See you soon.
