19-26 May 2012 Sara & Jim Allen
It’s our third visit to the cottage and we’ve had a marvellous time again. We were overjoyed by the hot sunny weather. Magical sea mists when walking along the beach to Aberdovey. I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be. The cottage is excellent & we know Joy and her husband are on hand if we need anything. We’ll definitely be back !

This is our first visit to this part of Wales. Peaceful, definitely recommend. Totally relaxing not wanting to get back to the ‘Rat Race’. Thank you to Joy and Hubby.

Oct half term 2011
We have been blessed with the most amazing half term weather. We arrived rather late so had a lovely surprise when we woke to discover the views.
Our best days out were : Shell island collecting shells and playing in the dunes,. The family trail at Tan Y Coed the boys loved the walk and looking for clues. Dollgoch Falls ; the boys walked all the way to the top where we ate our picnic. Beautiful and then caught the train back to Tywyn. We took a white road over the mountain to discover a Y shaped lake which was much more beautiful than Bala, no one around.

The photos on the website do not do the cottage justice. The area is sublime, picturesque mountains, steam trains and wildlife and the local beach has a wonderful stretch to enjoy the sea air. Wispa the dog had a fantastic time here in Wales.

Managed to dodge most of the rain this week and had a great time on the beaches, trains and the playground in Tywyn which was very popular with our toddler.
Great Sunday lunch at Abergynolwyn community Cafe.
Would love to take the view home – even the clouds.
