We had the enormous privilege of meeting one of the badgers.  We must have been looking at each other for about 2 minutes before he eventually decided that "discretion is the better part of valour" and scuttled back the way he had come.  This is the first time we've seen a badger at such close quarters and we were left with an enormous sense of privilege at having done so.  We enjoyed several evening swims in the pool.  Talk about "a pool with a view!".  Thank you for a lovely stay.
